As many internet goes will be aware, there is a very popular flikr movement at the moment called One Hundred Strangers. The concept is to increase the photo journalism skills of photographers by taking pictures of strangers, without them being candid shots - you must approach and talk to your stranger before you take their portrait.
My name is Sian Kavanagh and I am a high school senior in Portland, OR. It is my final art project to compile my own 100 portraits in the next two months and eventually compile a book with all the portraits I collect. This blog will post the portraits I take as soon as they are taken, along with the descriptions of my strangers. It is my hope at the end of this project to have a book containing all my strangers and this blog that documents all the stages of my project.
