Today I approached and took my pictures of my first three strangers around the Lincoln campus. It's a small start, however I plan on taking more tonight at the IB art show and over the weekend around Portland.

Stranger 3:

Name: Renee

Age: 62

Renee was taking a walk and visiting her friend Bobby in Cafe Mango when I met her. She is a human being. We talked for 10 minutes about her shaved head, which started 6 years ago as a protest against gender identity. Renee wanted to detract attention away from her feminine side and allow people to focus more on who she was as a person. She believes strongly in the power of the individual and likes to stay away from labels.

Stranger 2:

Name: Dan

Age: 18

Dan was getting lunch when I photographed him and sees himself as a student and a chiropractic assistant. When he was younger, his favourite word used to be spoon.

Stranger 1:
Name: Donn
Age: 50
When I photographed him he was substituting for my history teacher. He is a history and economics teacher. Today he was wondering how much longer can the communist regime last in China.
